Tomboy fashion 2011

SPICING UP YOUR TOMBOY WARDROBE

Tomboy style is really evolving these days and yea, very much in vogue. S I did some checking around for those girls, who just don’t fancy the flurry flowing skirts and dresses, and came up with some beautiful tips ..

Haircuts: short stylish hair cuts work great for tomboys. Apart from suiting your face, Short hair cuts is really all about personal style and ‘taste’. (Tip for short hair cuts: Its helpful sometimes to try out your intended hair cut, with a virtual make over gadget)

Pantalons (as I like to call them): for tomboys, this usually vary from straight loose jeans, short shorts, hippy-tight jeans, skinny jeans (usually fits with slightly loose  tops, with a feminine touch and loads of other varieties of shirts)

Boots: are an important aspect for a stylish tomboy. They don’t particularly have to be pricey, just simple but classy  and plus, the attitude adds up to it.

And hey, forget not the accessories! It would be a perfect match, for tomboys or tomboys-wanna-be’s to try flat bold earrings, instead of the usual dangling and loopy earrings. Belts, bags (it’s kinda weird to dress up as tomboy and have a handbag on your arm), caps, etc…all compliment the tomboying process. You’ll be careful to choose wisely and stylishly (of course)

C’MON…! USE THE PROFESSIONAL PUBLIC TOILETS

THE REASON BEHIND THE REASON

I understand professions vary to a wide extent. I could have guessed, but it never crossed my thoughts; until yesterday, I always saw ‘things as they are’. But now, I’m forced not only to look at the latent reasons, but also to look at those latent reasons that every other person would either not see, or would brush off as unnecessary. Looking around my environment, I think I’ve identified a case study:

THE ACCRA MALL

The thrill surrounding the Accra Mall, as one of the country’s finest, is fading away slowly. Not because there are stronger competitors sprouting up, but rather, most people are getting used to the ‘not-so-dynamic’ nature of the mall and ‘the same-everyday-stuff-I -can-get-anywhere’ theory. Latent meanings?

These are things we know, which that Miss Accra Mall simply ignores ;-)

  1. It’s a hook-up place for boys and girls, and oh, any professional prostitute (nope, sorry, sexual-alternative) would be wise enough to stretch his or her customer base.
  2. It’s that one place that Miss A and Mr. B could show how foreign they can get…it’s another country inside Ghana. Still wondering?? Clothes…dressing! That’s what I mean
  3. And sometimes, u can’t blame the everyday Ghanaian. This land can get real hot and with a little time to spare, why not walk through the mall and be air-conditioned?
  4. I would be so doomed to forget what brought up this whole discussion… ‘professional public toilet’ yep yep…it’s all yours to gain…at the mall ;-)

the web-a-holic-wanna-be couldn’t resist blogging about this…just a little deviation won’t hurt ;-)

Energy in, Energy out

the weight gain weight loss argument

the weight gain weight loss argument

The no-go-area: ‘losing weight‘. Trust me, 101 solutions exist, to ‘throwing off fat‘ in a few seconds. muscle vibrators, tissue teasers, sweat induction gadgets… But what makes someone fat and the other slim. Aside genetic and biological issues, there’s a simply theory explaining difference in body sizes. ‘The energy theory’; which states that, the amount of energy used, if not equal or greater than the food intake (energy input), fat accumulation in the body, is a definite thing.
It’s funny how the body chooses to work sometimes. you would be amazed to know that, no matter the nature of food you eat, fibrous food, carbohydrates, proteins, etc, all ends up as fat in the body, if eaten in excess.
The way out?? If that extra fold of skin of the tummy or that huge thigh that can barely be aerated, disgusts you, then you’ve got to work it! Exercise (physically – no misinterpretation); walking, using the staircase, jogging, bicycling, anything to keep you active and oh, there’s a HUGE difference between HUNGER and APPETITE ;)
