When I wake on Saturdays,
I stay in bed long enough,
To imagine how my tongue will tingle,
With explosive flavors of you.
I think of you & me and you again
And maybe if I stay in bed much longer,
Breakfast might just be a flight for two
…just maybe
….
What happens when sanity meets desire?
When what you like is not prescribed?
And the prescription you’ve known
Begins to part like dense clouds giving way to the sun.
When out of the corner of your eyes,
You see something
Beyond the usual dose,
Behind the clouds so close
- and your heart beats differently.
Suddenly life makes sense!
Yet your prescription makes you tense?
What happens when love and like merge
Into a fiery ball of new awakening?
Taking on the very form of creation.
Will you run or stay fixated?
Will you swear you’re blind?
Or open your eyes to find?
That beneath the scattered thoughts,
Away from the prescription,
The paths do cross.
And when they do,
What will you do?

Yesterday, capturing this shot, I said to my friend
“Oh this isn’t beautiful!”
Bored at home, I played around with the picture
Not sure how it will turn out..
It taught me something though,
Often, we look at life from a singular lens
We’re afraid to switch lenses.
Who knows what we might discover?
We stick to the familiar and pretend we’re doing something new.
It’s better safe than sorry – we conclude
I dare you to look at yourself differently,
Don’t be afraid to step out naked.
