MY FEEL GOOD FACTOR – HOMEMADE FACIALS

This year, I’ve pledged to be good to my skin, starting with facials. If you’re in any way like me then you probably have issues getting the right exfoliator, can’t keep up a routine or just think facials are too demanding. In this article, I’ll be mostly biased towards combination skin type because that’s what I wake-up to every morning.

I wouldn’t advice use of regular soap or shower gel. A good facial cleansing bar or facial wash works just fine and are inexpensive. I use Johnson’s cleansing bar soap, then follow-up with Palmer’s deep cleanser. This unclog pores, and generally preps your face for the rest of the routine.

STEP 2: EXFOLIATE
To get healthy glowing skin it is imperative to exfoliate. Dead skin cells leave your skin looking dull and feeling very pasty. Clean& Clear from Johnson&Johnson does it for me. To create an  at-home exfoliator, you will need water and baking soda mixed into a paste like form. Apply evenly on face. You wouldn’t have the soapy/foamy effect, but it works just fine.

STEP 3: MOISTURE MASK
Mash 1 whole avocado and mix with 1 teaspoon honey. Apply on face avoiding eye area. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse with warm water. Alternatively, you can substitute Avocado for Oatmeal.

Facials don’t necessarily have to be daily (but if you can, why not?). I would suggest working this routine at least twice a week.

He who made my eve: Meet Nana Kofi Acquah

I planned to post about ‘personal branding’ for models, and ‘selling out yourself’, as a freelance model but then, something caught my attention, and had me smiling all night long…

The first time I came across Nana Kofi Acquah’s blog, was somewhere last year. I didn’t have much time, I had to grab his number and call him for some business. So tonight, I found myself intensely enjoying his blog, going through his posts over and over again. He blogs mostly about his images and poetry. Though he has an official website NKA

I love poetry, maybe that’s one of the reasons I’m still smiling. He put up a post about one of my favorite poems, ‘To His Coy Mistress‘ and yea, he worn more views from me, for his blog.

I can’t remember how I landed on his blog, tonight, but I totally fell in love with it. I didn’t intend to blog about him, or his images, but hey, he’s got me jinxed…I guess ;)

I spent all the time this evening, just reading your blog, your poems, and the images. They are really great…I have this smile on my face. It’s a long time I’ve felt this peaceful. I’m going through your posts, over and over again! Even-though I’m supposed to be posting about something on my blog, I’m enjoying your blog so much.

I could go through every single image without feeling guilty (for lazying around ; ) )

Thanks, You made my evening :)

FAT &UGLY??NOT ANYMORE

This is the twenty-first century. A century of peak creativity and craziness. A period of drunkenness and backwardness, a period of poverty and extravagance.

…I’m not a century analyst. That’s not even what this article is about…i wondered off, my apologies.

Have you ever wondered how fashion models came to be so skinny?? Well I’ve wondered too, and i don’t know why

What I know is, the pattern has changed! Meaning? Fat ‘booties’ are flooding the runways!! Let’s take a closer look (with Ghanaian examples, of course)

Exopa: Introduced the ‘X plus fashion show’. In a matter of minutes, there were fat women with their big boobs, pouring all over the place during the auditions. The catwalk was a bliss…hips swinging left and right, ready to hypnotize  (hehehee)

Somewhere in recent times (don’t know the date) I happened to accidentally stumble on a beauty pageant being advertised on the TV and it was for the ‘fat and beautiful’

On the world stage???  Take a look at these pics

big mama doing her thing

they definitely want their share

Fat and ugly? Not anymore!

The big mama’s want their share..definitely! Eat up, grow fat…there’s a stage for you!!

(hehehee)
